Wicked Spoon, the high-end buffet at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, reopened on Friday with mandatory reservations, reduced seating, and dishes served by staff.
The Cosmopolitan’s buffet includes less common menu items such as bone marrow, squid ink pasta, and elote, plus an incredible gelato selection for dessert.
The buffet, the second to reopen on the Las Vegas Strip, asks diners to stand six feet apart while waiting to be seated and at food stations. Staff at one of six food stations hand out the dishes, while beverages are still served by employees. Diners have a two-hour limit to eat.
The buffet reduces its hours from Thursday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with brunch only for $36 for adults an $20 for children age 4 to 10.
Diners can also order bottomless mimosas, Champagne, bloody Marys, or Bud Light draft packages for $17.
The Buffet at Wynn reopened on June 18 with unlimited servings, bringing the buffet to the table. There, diners can order from a menu, with servers bringing dishes to the table with the option to reorder as many times as desired within a two-hour period.
Gov. Steve Sisolak closed casinos on March 17 to curb the spread of COVID-19. The Nevada Gaming Control Board issued guidelines to resorts to reopen that include maintaining 50 percent capacity, masks on staff, cleaning protocols, and social distancing throughout the casino. Casinos were permitted to reopen across the state on June 4.
