Las Vegas restaurants, food distribution companies, and smaller markets are pivoting to help locals get much needed provisions during the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Locale Italian Kitchen in Mountain’s Edge not only has grab-and-go options including salads and sandwiches but also offers meat at wholesale prices.

“People obviously aren’t coming out of their houses and coming to frequent restaurants, so we’re offering all our wholesale meats at that cost,” chef and co-owner Nicole Brisson says. “They’ll pay what we pay for it. We’ve had a lot of great traction today. Families have come out of the woodwork and and really are excited about this because all the supermarkets are out of meat.”

Call 702-330-0404 to place an order by 5 p.m. and the meat will be ready for pickup at noon the next day. The restaurant also has an environmentally friendly Vero water machine, and customers can buy one bottle for $5 and have unlimited refills.

Locale also has a market from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with meat, fresh eggs, cheeses, fresh baked bread, as well as cleaning supplies and more to go. A limit of one person is allowed inside at a time.

Henderson’s The Stove now has a market inside its restaurant that sells ground beef, chicken, pork, eggs, yogurt, grab-and-go options, and other essentials from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“I felt it was my duty to supply my diners with the tools that they need to survive during these trying times,” executive chef and owner Javier Chavez says. “Nobody is working right now and people may not know how they are going to carry on, especially when caring for children.”

The market closes on March 29.

Echo & Rig, the steakhouse in Tivoli Village keeps its butcher shop open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Aside from meats, the shop offers rice pilaf, baked beans, vegetables, mashed potatoes, and cookies. Only four shoppers are allowed inside at once.

The deli and market at Siena Italian Trattoria & Deli in Peccole Ranch remains open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. with pastas, meats, Italian products, baked goods, and more. Call 702-360-3358 to order.

Graffiti Bao, the casual Chinese restaurant in the southwest, now offers bulk food orders of milk, eggs, sliced cheese, dry beans, rice, pastas, dry beans, tomato sauces, and meat. Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar in Town Square and Downtown Summerlin has a pantry with home essentials for curbside pickup. The $40 package includes three pounds of boneless skinless chicken breast, 15 eggs, one gallon of whole milk, one loaf of bread, one pound of unsalted butter, two pounds of uncooked rice, three rolls of toilet paper, and two pounds each of yellow onions, red potatoes, and carrots.

Marrakech, the Moroccan restaurant on Paradise Road, offers bulk products for sale from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Items offered include cases of chicken, ground beef, or steak; eggs; rice; varieties of beans; flour; butter; milk and almond milk; pastas’ cases of produce; olive oil; canned tuna; disinfectant spray; and toilet paper. Call 702-737-5611 to order. Customers pick up their orders at the back of the restaurant.

In the southwest, Goong Korean Barbecue has kimchi and bulgogi for sale, while Oyshi Sushi is selling salmon.

Even Edible Arrangements, the fruit delivery service, now has boxes of mixed fruits for customers. Its three area locations offer a box of mixed whole fresh fruit delivered for $19.99.

And aside from bulk cheese and meats, the boutique store Cured & Whey offers vegetable boxes for $25 and fruit boxes for $21 with pickup at the store at 6265 S. Valley View Blvd. The new Curbside by Cured & Whey brings milk and eggs, as well as deeply discounted wholesale products normally sold fine dining, and wholesale fruits and vegetables from Desert Produce. Customers can order online and then call the store with their order number to have their purchases put in their vehicle by staff when they park.

Rooster Boy Cafe in the northwest now features a market, filled with essentials, such as toilet paper, milk, eggs, granola, pastries, and vegetables as well as to go and takeout meals with curbside delivery. Open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sambalatte, the coffee shop in Boca Park, offers basic supplies available at its cafe including toilet paper, facial tissue, butter, eggs, organic milk, penne pasta, and rice pilaf more items arriving daily. The shop is open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Honey Salt’s new market offers cornbread, toilet paper for $1, fresh fruits and vegetables, build-your-own pizza kits, avocados, limes, and bottled water from noon to 7 p.m. daily.

Southwest Diner has grab-and-go groceries in Boulder City from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Items available include eggs, loaves of bread, orange juice, potatoes, ground beef, milk, and cleaner with bleach. To order, via online or call 702-293-1537.
