San Gennaro Fest– May 4th– 8th, Craig Ranch Park, North Las Vegas. This bi-annual event is back with all the tasty Italian food you can eat. This festival celebrates the patron saint of Naples, Saint Gennaro, and is hailed as the best Italian heritage festival outside of Italy. One of the most popular festivals in the area, it’s a family affair with live entertainment, pony rides for the kids, games and carnival rides as well.
Art Festival of Henderson- May 7th-8th, Henderson Events Plaza & Convention Center, 9 am-4 pm. Head over to Henderson and check out the latest in local arts and crafts. From pottery, to jewelry, painting, metal work and more, find your next conversation piece for home at this art festival. Bring the kids to the Imagination Station where they can make their own art, too. This year includes a chalk art competition that is sure to impress as well.
Vintage Vegas Home & History Extravaganza- May 7th-8th, Neon Museum and other locations. May is National Historic Preservation Month. What better way to celebrate than to tour some of Las Vegas’s classic historical homes and museums? Throughout the weekend there are special events you can join to celebrate the eclectic history of Vegas. Take a self-guided tour of our historical, vintage homes as well.
Helldorado Days- May 13th-15th, Las Vegas Village. This incredible rodeo has been going on since 1934. Check out top rodeo athletes from around the country and the world during this exciting weekend. This family-friendly event includes a parade through downtown, a carnival, art show and auction and even a round of golf.
Vegas Pet Expo- May 21st– 22nd, Cashman Center. Bring your pet for this free expo where you can get the latest in pet care, toys and accessories. Discounted vaccinations, microchipping and pest prevention are on hand for you to take advantage of among the hundreds of exhibitor booths. Don’t have a pet or are you ready for a new family addition? The Vegas Pet Expo includes dozens of pet adoption groups to help you find your next best friend.
